Job summary

eci-partners.vincere.io is seeking a Maintenance Team Leader for our Stanlow site to direct mechanical maintenance and optimize safety, quality, and uptime. You will manage a small team, coordinate preventative and corrective work, and liaise with contractors to meet plant priorities.

The role requires strong leadership, experience in the oil, gas, or chemical industry, and a proven ability to prioritise heavy workloads while maintaining SHE standards. A call-out rota may be required.

Qualifications

  • Essential: Trade-based apprenticeship in mechanical maintenance.
  • Essential: Experience in mechanical maintenance within Oil, Gas, or Chemical industry.
  • Essential: Knowledge of maintenance engineering standards.
  • Essential: Experience using CMS systems.
  • Essential: Strong leadership, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Essential: Budget awareness and ability to develop others.
  • Desirable: HNC in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Desirable: Relevant safety qualification (IOSH/NEBOSH).
  • Desirable: Experience working on a COMAH site.
  • Desirable: Experience managing critical spares and leading contractor teams.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and execute planned, corrective, and preventative maintenance schedules.
  • Monitor and update the CMS system, ensuring accurate records of completed tasks.
  • Manage maintenance-related inventory, including tools, spare parts, and consumables.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop the team, including training and performance management.
  • Promote and drive a strong safety culture, ensuring adherence to SHE practices.
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and cost savings.
  • Effectively manage contractors, ensuring work is conducted safely and to company standards.

Job Title: Maintenance Team Leader

Salary: Upto £58k per annum

Location: Stanlow/AOT

Working Hours: Monday – Friday (8:00 – 16:00), with additional support required during shutdowns and plant outages. Participation in a call‑out rota may be required.

Reports to: Maintenance Manager

Direct Reports: 7-10

About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated Maintenance Team Leader to lead a team responsible for preventative and planned mechanical maintenance, ensuring operational priorities are met while maintaining compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards. You must be able to hit the ground running and come with a lot of experience in prioritising heavy workloads, leading a team, and dealing with contractors, specifically within Mechanical Maintenance in the Oil, Gas, or Chemical industry.

Key Responsibilities
