Mechanical TAR Area Lead: Turnaround Planning

Job summary

CCL Global is recruiting an experienced TAR Area Lead to support a major industrial turnaround project in Hull. You will coordinate mechanical turnaround activities, prepare detailed work packs, monitor progress and ensure all works are completed safely and in line with site procedures.

The role requires substantial planning experience in industrial maintenance, a mechanical qualification, and strong communication to manage technical queries and liaise with planning, engineering and site teams.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years' experience in a planning role, ideally within industrial maintenance or turnaround environments.
• Mechanical qualification such as an apprenticeship, NVQ, ONC, HNC or equivalent.
• Working knowledge of planning systems, including SAP, PICS and iPlan.
• Valid CCNSG Safety Passport, ACE Card, appropriate CSCS Card or equivalent recognised site safety certification.
• Relevant health and safety training, such as IOSH Managing Safely, CITB Site Managers Safety Training Scheme, NEBOSH Certificate or equivalent.
• Strong communication, coordination and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary site team.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate mechanical turnaround activities and prepare detailed work packs.
• Monitor progress and ensure works are executed safely and per site procedures.
• Provide weekly updates on JTD and turnaround progress.
• Identify, escalate and manage technical queries and risks throughout lifecycle.
• Provide technical expertise and guidance during turnaround execution window.
• Liaise with planning, engineering and site execution teams to support delivery.
