Job summary

Bimplus is seeking a Mechanical Supervisor / Pipefitter Supervisor to oversee planned project works and maintenance programmes for our established water-industry client. You will lead on-site teams, ensure safety, and deliver efficient mechanical installations.

Ideal candidates have hands-on engineering experience, CSCS and relevant qualifications, and the ability to coordinate with Project Managers. The role offers stability, progression, and a supportive workplace culture.

Qualifications

• GCSEs in English and Maths are required.
• Completed a modern apprenticeship or equivalent in engineering.
• CSCS card required; EUSR Water & Sewage, PASMA, IPAF, Confined Space, and Abrasive Wheels preferred.

Responsibilities

• Carry out on-site dynamic risk assessments and enforce safety procedures.
• Lead mechanical site installations, fault-finding, and problem-solving.
• Plan daily site activities and allocate team skill sets.
• Liaise with client contacts and Project Managers on planning and access.
• Conduct site surveys, inspections, and maintain daily logs.
• Manage stock of consumables and report near misses and incidents.
