Job summary

SkyBlue Recruitment is seeking a Mechanical Supervisor at HMP Erlestoke to lead the maintenance team, manage planned and reactive works, and ensure the facility remains safe and well-maintained.

You will oversee staff, inventory, and compliance with Water Supply Regulations and L8 standards, with a focus on securing and maintaining building services systems within a prison environment. Security vetting applies.

Qualifications

• Must have qualifications such as C&G 6035 (Plumbing), C&G 6189 (Plumbing and Heating), and NVQ Level 3 in Plumbing, or equivalent.
• Minimum of five years' experience in plumbing or a similar role.
• Familiarity with Water Supply Regulations and Control of Legionella (L8) standards.
• Experience working on commercial or industrial heating, water, or building services systems.

Responsibilities

• Conducting staff appraisals and providing performance feedback to Line Managers
• Ensuring effective management of the tool inventory and upholding security standards within the work area
