Job summary

Sellick Partnership is recruiting a Mechanical Supervisor to join the Estates team at Halifax hospital. This is an excellent opportunity for a mechanically biased engineer looking to step into leadership or further develop supervisory experience within a large, evolving hospital environment.

The role involves supervising a team of mechanical engineers, coordinating planned and reactive maintenance, and ensuring safe and compliant operation of HVAC, plumbing and building services.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in a mechanical discipline.
• Experience in Plumbing, HVAC, Air Conditioning, Pipefitting or Building Services.
• Previous experience as a Supervisor, Team Leader, Senior Engineer or Lead Engineer.
• Strong leadership and people management skills.
• Good IT skills (Outlook, Microsoft Teams).

Responsibilities

• Supervising and supporting a team of mechanical engineers.
• Coordinating planned and reactive maintenance activities.
• Providing technical support across HVAC, plumbing, pipefitting and mechanical systems.
• Ensuring maintenance activities are completed safely and compliantly.
• Managing maintenance records and compliance documentation.
• Supporting plant inspections, servicing and repairs.
• Participating in the on-call rota and supporting the wider estates team.
