Job summary

Robert Hurst Group Ltd in the United Kingdom seeks an experienced Non-Working Mechanical Site Supervisor to oversee mechanical subcontractors on a commercial warehouse fit-out project.

You will supervise day-to-day mechanical trades, ensure works meet quality standards and programme, coordinate with the Main Contractor, review drawings, and support testing and handover.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of mechanical supervision experience.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical drawings and pipework.
• Experience supervising subcontractors on warehouse/commercial fit-out projects.
• SMSTS certification is essential.
• CSCS/JIB site card required.
• First Aid knowledge is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate mechanical subcontractors.
• Oversee plumbing, pipework, HVAC and related mechanical installations.
• Read and interpret mechanical drawings.
• Coordinate mechanical works with the Main Contractor and other trades.
• Monitor progress, labour and programme.
• Carry out quality inspections and manage snagging.
• Ensure RAMS and site procedures are followed, including Health & Safety requirements.
• Attend site meetings and provide progress updates.
• Identify and resolve site issues.
• Support testing, commissioning and handover.

Job description

We are currently looking for an experienced Non-Working Mechanical Site Supervisor to oversee mechanical subcontractors on a commercial warehouse fit-out project.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day supervision and coordination of mechanical trades, ensuring works are completed safely, to the required quality standards and in line with the project programme.

Duties include

• Supervising and coordinating mechanical subcontractors.
• Overseeing plumbing, pipework, HVAC and associated mechanical installations.
• Reading and interpreting mechanical drawings and schematics.
• Coordinating mechanical works with the Main Contractor and other trades.
• Monitoring progress, labour and programme.
• Carrying out quality inspections and managing snagging.
• Ensuring subcontractors comply with RAMS, site procedures and Health & Safety requirements.
• Attending site meetings and providing progress updates.
• Identifying and resolving site issues.
• Supporting testing, commissioning and handover.

Requirements

• 5+ years' mechanical supervision experience.
• Strong commercial/industrial mechanical background.
• Previous experience supervising subcontractors.
• Warehouse, industrial or commercial fit-out experience preferred.
• SMSTS - Essential.
• CSCS/JIB or relevant site card - Essential.
• First Aid - Desirable.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical drawings, pipework and plumbing.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
