To supervise all aspects of mechanical works for planned preventative maintenance, projects work, reactive works, and water treatment in accordance with the contract requirements on Mechanical Services.

Working hours
Vary according to specific post, including:
- Day – 0800-1700 Monday to Friday
- Day Shift – 0700-1900 7-day shift pattern
- Shift – 12hr shifts providing 24-hour cover on a rotating continental shift pattern
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Manage daily mechanical services to meet contractual obligations.
- Ensure compliance with Health and Safety at Work Act (HASAWA).
- Maintain onsite Quality Assurance procedures and accurate records for mechanical aspects of PPM and plant.
- Oversee water treatment plant and keep records up to date.
- Manage maintenance of the chilled water system.
- Coordinate visiting specialist subcontractors for Mechanical PPM schedules.
- Respond to call outs, breakdowns, and emergencies related to mechanical services.
- Support onsite shift engineers with mechanical services.
- Manage staff during peak workloads and cover for holidays and sickness.
- Supervise staff including full-time, part-time, subcontractors, and specialists.
- Proactively pursue preventative maintenance and additional works.
- Attend or manage emergency call-outs and prepare incident reports.
- Monitor and complete Assurity audit tasks timely.
- Monitor and respond to Allianz insurance inspections on the portal.
Additional duties
- Attend monthly site meetings.
- Provide reports on work and equipment as needed.
- Undertake miscellaneous client requests.
- Support contract growth into other service areas like Mechanical and Electrical, Project works, FM Soft Services, etc.

Experience
Essential:
- Experience with maintenance, fault diagnosis, and rectification.
- Knowledge of mechanical aspects of building PPM schedules.
- Mechanical installation experience.
Desirable:
- Experience with computer PPM systems.
- Experience replacing bearings and seals.
- Advanced mechanical knowledge.
- Supervisory experience for development.
Qualifications
Essential:
- City & Guilds in Mechanical Services or NVQ Level 3.
- Mechanical Apprenticeship in building maintenance.
Desirable:
- City & Guilds Electrical Installation or NVQ.
- Health and Safety training.
- GCSEs in Maths and English.
