What Will You Do?

  • Supervise and coordinate mechanical installation teams on-site across multiple projects.
  • Carry out desk top surveys on mechanical installations to ensure high quality & compliance standards
  • Ensure installations comply with mechanical drawings, schematics, and relevant industry regulations.
  • Monitor daily work progress and ensure high standards of workmanship.
  • Act as a point of contact between site operatives, subcontractors & project managers.
  • Conduct quality checks, testing, and commissioning of mechanical and renewable systems.
  • Maintain site health & safety standards, including toolbox talks and risk assessments.
  • Assist in planning project timelines and resource allocation.
  • Maintain site records, daily logs, and project documentation.

What Are We Looking For?

  • NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering, Plumbing, or Heating & Ventilation.
  • Proven experience supervising mechanical or renewable energy installations.
  • SMSTS or SSSTS certification (or willingness to obtain).
  • Valid CSCS card
  • Excellent understanding of health & safety standards and compliance.
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and specifications.
  • Strong organisational, leadership, and communication skills.
  • Full UK driving licence.

Desirable Qualifications & Experience

  • Experience working with MCS-accredited installations.
  • Certification in heat pump or solar PV installation (e.g. BPEC or NICEIC).
  • First Aid at Work qualification.
  • Experience with retrofit and domestic energy efficiency schemes (e.g. ECO4, PAS 2035).
