What You Will Do:

1. Lead FEA simulations, technical analysis, and develop innovative engineering concepts for large defence upgrade projects including NPI.
2. Conduct stress analysis, fatigue evaluations, and design calculations using advanced tools such as non-linear FEA.
3. Utilize Spaceclaim and ANSYS software from Step files.
4. Write and oversee test specifications, acceptance criteria, and detailed reports.
5. Manage in-house and outsourced engineering activities, ensuring the structural integrity of fabricated metallic products.
6. Collaborate with customers to verify project scope and deliverables, while preparing and managing project programmes.
7. Investigate non-conforming products and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

What You Will Bring:

1. A degree in engineering, ideally in Mechanical or Aerospace disciplines.
2. Chartered status with a recognised institution (e.g., IMechE or IStructE).
3. Proven experience in structural behaviour, material properties, and non-linear FEA simulation.
4. Proficiency in Eurocodes and familiarity with fabricated aluminium and steel production processes.
5. Exceptional problem-solving skills, strong communication abilities, and willingness to travel when required.
