Job summary

VanRath Search & Selection is seeking a Mechanical Site Supervisor in Belfast, Northern Ireland. The role entails delivering projects on time, coordinating on-site labour, and managing procurement and equipment to ensure high quality installations.

Applicants should have a plumbing/heating trade background with strong health and safety knowledge. Travel to ROI/GB may be required for certain projects.

Qualifications

• Must have a plumbing / heating trade background.
• Demonstrable health and safety knowledge.
• PC literate with competency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Show care and attention to detail in all areas of installation.
• Organised and disciplined in your planning and approach to work.
• Ability to multitask and work under pressure.
• Self-motivated with a 'can-do' approach to work and willingness to learn and assist.

Responsibilities

• Delivering projects on time and within budget.
• Responsible for the control of labour and their coordination with other trades on-site.
• Procurement of general day-to-day materials.
• Procurement and management of hire equipment on-site.
• Ensure all installations are of the highest quality.
• Ensuring the installation complies with the latest relevant regulations.
• Meeting with clients, main contractors, and subcontractors regularly.
• Preparation of short-term lookahead programmes and inputting into the overall master programme.
• Provide regular reports on progress and performance to the Contracts Manager.
• Carry out site based Health, Safety and Quality inspections.
