Careermakers are recruiting an experienced Mechanical Site Manager to oversee projects across the North West. This site-based role requires strong leadership, technical expertise and a proactive approach to programme and commercial management.

Location: North West project sites. Permanent contract with a competitive salary depending on experience. Car allowance and pension contributions accompany a package that includes health insurance after 12 months and annual bonus arrangements.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Mechanical or M&E Project Manager.
• SMSTS certification would be preferred.
• Strong mechanical background (HVAC, pipework, plant systems).
• Comfortable in a site-based delivery role.
• Commercially aware with strong programme management skills.
• Must reside within the Northwest or Yorkshire regions.

Responsibilities

• Liaising directly with clients and maintaining strong working relationships
• Attending and leading site meetings
• Managing day-to-day site operations
• Ensuring compliance with Health & Safety regulations
• Working closely with H&S Management teams
• Managing and coordinating sub-contractors
• Supporting Quality Managers with QA processes and documentation
• Programme reporting and monitoring progress against key milestones

Salary: Competitive, depending on relevant experience

Working Arrangements and Facilities

This Mechanical Site Manager vacancy is a multi- site-based role supporting projects across the North West and will require the need and willingness for flexibilty and the ability to travel to different sites. A full UK Driving licence is requried and with ideally no more than 3 penalty points.

Office facilities include on-site parking, EV charging and a fully equipped kitchen. These facilities relate to the office; facilities at individual project sites may differ.
