Job summary

Michael Taylor Search & Selection Ltd, on behalf of our client, seeks a Mechanical Site Manager in Greater London to oversee site operations on new build and fit-out projects, coordinating subcontractors, attending meetings and ensuring programme delivery.

You will manage RAMS, safety on site, progress reporting, and commissioning handover, with a degree or hands-on Building Services experience and a proactive, can-do attitude.

Client

Our client is a privately owned Mechanical building services contractor with an annual turnover in excess of £20 million. They are a specialist within the commercial, healthcare, education and high-end residential sectors, delivering the design and installation of mechanical services. They undertake both new build and fit out projects ranging from £100k to £4million in value. Spearheaded by a dynamic and entrepreneurial owner they have grown year on year since their inception 9 years ago. With a healthy pipeline of work for 2025 the business is looking to expand their team.

Role

Mechanical Site Manager £300 - £320 per day

Role / Responsibilities

• Management of sub-contractors and labour
• Client liaison and attend site meetings
• Progress Reporting
• Responsible for all health & safety at site level including the preparation and issuing of RAMS & and tool box talks where appropriate
• Weekly H&S Returns
• Project & programme implementation
• Understanding of design & drawings
• Continuous snagging to minimise defects & errors
• Work with the Project Manager to manage the commissioning process and handover of the project

The ideal candidate

• Experience working within the Mechanical Building Services sector (5 years or less)
• A degree or collage course focused on Building Services or experience working on the tools
• Well presented with good organisational and communication skills
• Ambitious with a can do approach to work
• A willingness to learn and further their experience and education
