Job description

Time 4 Recruitment has a great opportunity for a Temporary Mechanical Site Manager working for a well-established M&E Contractor, based in Bristol, for up to 6 months work.

As Mechanical Site Manager, you will be assisting the Project Manager in overseeing the M&E package on a 152-unit housing scheme located just outside Bristol City Centre near Brislington.

You will be joining an outstanding UK-leading contractor in Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, servicing national construction clients across sectors such as defence, commercial, educational, health, leisure, buildings, office, and residential.

To succeed in this role, you must be a plumber by trade and hold plumbing or pipe fitting qualifications to understand and manage the works effectively.

Key Responsibilities & Duties:

• Oversee installation work conducted by mechanical tradespeople
• Conduct site inspections and ensure health and safety procedures are followed
• Coordinate labour and subcontractors on site
• Coordinate services and participate in ordering labour and materials
• Ensure works adhere to the programme
• Conduct site meetings with clients and contractors
• Maintain quality assurance

The ideal candidate:

• Minimum of 3 years in a management role
• Hold a current SMSTS certification
• Experience working on residential projects
• Experience managing Mechanical Projects over GBP 2M
• Experience overseeing all aspects of mechanical projects
• Proven ability to manage a team of operatives and engineers
• Passionate and motivated with strong communication skills
• Willingness to develop their career and aim for promotion

• Competitive daily rate GBP 280 to GBP 320
