Job summary

PSR Solutions in Birmingham is seeking an experienced Mechanical Site Manager to oversee mechanical building services on a major commercial development. The role offers both permanent and freelance options, with a salary up to £65,000 plus package and daily freelance rates up to £350.

You will lead installation works on site, coordinate subcontractors, monitor progress, and ensure safety, quality and on-time delivery in a high-profile project environment.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as Mechanical Site Manager within Building Services.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, pipework, ventilation and mechanical building services systems.
• Experience delivering large commercial construction projects.
• Ability to coordinate subcontractors and manage site activities.
• Strong understanding of project programmes and deadlines.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Experience managing mechanical installations through to commissioning and handover.
• Valid SMSTS certification.
• Valid CSCS Card.
• First Aid qualification would be advantageous.
• Full UK Driving Licence preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage and supervise all mechanical building services installations on site.
• Coordinate mechanical subcontractors and site labour to ensure programme targets are achieved.
• Monitor progress against project schedules and provide regular updates to the project team.
• Ensure all mechanical works are completed to the required quality standards and specifications.
• Conduct site inspections and quality assurance checks.
• Liaise with the client, main contractor, consultants, and other trades on site.
• Coordinate testing, commissioning, and final handover activities.
• Identify and resolve site-related issues to avoid delays and maintain productivity.
• Ensure all works comply with current Health & Safety legislation and company procedures.
• Maintain accurate site records and reporting documentation.

The Role

As Mechanical Site Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of mechanical building services installations on site, ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project requirements.
