Job summary

HVAC Recruitment Limited is seeking a Mechanical Lead Engineer for a large healthcare contract in West London. This hands-on leadership role will oversee mechanical maintenance and support an established engineering team on a static site.

Ideal candidates have strong mechanical/building services experience, with supervisory or lead exposure preferred. The role offers a stable, well-paid opportunity with progression on a long-term healthcare contract.

Qualifications

• Strong commercial Mechanical Maintenance / Building Services experience.
• Good knowledge of mechanical plant, HVAC systems and fault finding.
• Previous Lead Engineer or Supervisory experience desirable, although experienced engineers looking to progress will be considered.
• Mechanical, plumbing or electrical qualifications/backgrounds considered with strong mechanical experience.
• Healthcare or large commercial building experience beneficial but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Leading and supporting Mechanical Engineers, covering for the Mechanical Manager when required.
• Overseeing PPMs, reactive maintenance, fault finding and repairs across mechanical building services.
• Working on AHUs, FCUs, pumps, motors, valves, heating systems and general HVAC plant.
• Carrying out plant room inspections, maintenance checks and supporting engineers with technical issues.
• Overseeing contractors, ensuring compliance with Health & Safety, RAMS and site procedures.
• Managing daily maintenance tasks, documentation and ensuring works are completed to a high standard.

Mechanical Lead Engineer

Location: West London - Static Healthcare Site

Salary: £45,000 - £50,000 DOE

Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm

Call Out: Not initially required

We are looking for an experienced Mechanical Lead Engineer / Mechanical Supervisor to join a leading Facilities Management company on a large, established healthcare contract in West London.

This is a hands-on leadership role, overseeing mechanical maintenance and supporting an established engineering team. We are also happy to consider experienced Mechanical Maintenance Engineers looking to step up into a Lead position.

The Role
