Job summary

E3 Recruitment seeks an experienced Project Manager (Mechanical Engineering) to join an established engineering and manufacturing business in Halifax. You will own projects from award to delivery, drive schedules and budgets, and manage risk registers in a demanding environment.

The role demands hands-on leadership, strong stakeholder communication, and a proven track record of delivering complex, high-value projects on time and within budget.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years Project Management experience.
• APM, Prince2, or equivalent qualification.
• Experience in engineering, manufacturing, or heavy industrial environments.
• Mechanical engineering background or strong mechanical bias.
• Strong risk management experience, including ownership of project risk registers.
• Experience managing project finances, budgets, forecasts, and reporting.
• Comfortable working under pressure and meeting demanding schedules.
• Confident communicating with senior stakeholders and customers.
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Manage engineering projects from award through to delivery.
• Own project schedules, budgets, and overall project performance.
• Maintain and manage project risk registers, identifying and mitigating project risks.
• Hold internal teams accountable for project deliverables and deadlines.
• Monitor project costs, forecasts, and financial health.
• Lead customer meetings and provide regular project updates.
• Work closely with engineering, manufacturing, and commercial teams.
• Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to customer expectations.
