Job summary

Salter Grange is recruiting an experienced Mechanical Project Manager for a major hyperscale data centre project in the UK. This senior role will lead the mechanical package, coordinating with the Project Director, engineering teams, subcontractors and the client to ensure safe, high-quality and on-time delivery.

You will drive performance, manage programme, costs and procurement, review drawings and method statements, and oversee installation, testing and handover of mechanical systems.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Mechanical Project Manager on major construction projects.
• Extensive knowledge of mechanical building services and systems.
• Strong leadership and communication skills to drive teams and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of the mechanical scope from construction through to commissioning and handover.
• Manage mechanical subcontractors, suppliers and site teams.
• Coordinate mechanical works with CSA, electrical, commissioning and other project disciplines.
• Ensure works are delivered safely, on programme and to the required quality standards.
• Manage programme, progress, costs, procurement and project reporting.
• Review technical documentation, drawings, specifications and method statements.
• Oversee installation, testing, commissioning and handover of mechanical systems.
• Manage inspections, quality issues, RFIs and technical queries.
• Work closely with the client, design team and project leadership.
• Drive performance and ensure project milestones are achieved.

Salter Grange is recruiting an experienced Mechanical Project Manager for a major hyperscale data centre project on behalf of a leading international technical contractor.

This is a senior opportunity to take responsibility for the delivery of the mechanical package on a large-scale data centre project, working closely with the Project Director, engineering teams, subcontractors and client to ensure safe, high-quality and timely delivery.

Mechanical Project Manager Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of the mechanical scope from construction through to commissioning and handover.

• Excellent leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to operate effectively within a fast-paced, high-value project environment.
