Tech-People, based in Newbury, England, is seeking an experienced Mechanical Project Manager to deliver engaging mechanical projects from concept to completion across office and life sciences fit-out sectors. With project values from £1k to £2m, you will own projects from inception through handover, including client relationships and coordination with site teams, subcontractors and suppliers.

Newbury / A34 & London | £80,000+ + Car or £4,500 Allowance

Ready to take ownership of high-value mechanical projects from concept through to completion? I'm working with a successful and growing building services contractor who are looking to appoint two experienced Mechanical Project Managers to join their team.

Based from Newbury, with projects running along the A34 corridor and into London, this is a great opportunity for an experienced PM who wants to work on technically interesting office and life sciences fit-out projects, with values ranging from smaller works through to £2m.

You’ll have genuine ownership of your projects, strong support from the wider team and the opportunity to build a long-term career with a business that is continuing to grow.

The Role

You’ll take full responsibility for delivering mechanical projects from the initial concept and pre-construction stages through to final completion and handover.

You’ll be responsible for:

• Managing mechanical projects from concept through to completion
• Managing project programmes, budgets and commercial performance
• Coordinating site teams, subcontractors, suppliers and consultants
• Managing procurement and project resources
• Overseeing design development and technical coordination

What We’re Looking For

We’re keen to speak with experienced Mechanical Project Managers with a strong background in building services and commercial fit-out.

Ideally, you’ll have experience with:

• Commercial office fitout
• Life sciences projects
• Mechanical building services
• Managing projects through the full project lifecycle
• Project values up to £2m
• Subcontractor and site team management
• Commercial and client management
• Programme and cost control

You’ll need to be commercially aware, organised and confident taking ownership of your projects, while being able to work closely with clients, consultants and the wider project team.
