Job summary

Fawkes & Reece Group is recruiting an experienced Mechanical Project Manager to oversee mechanical packages on three college projects across the education sector in the UK. The role focuses on delivering installation, commissioning and final handover, while maintaining safety, quality and programme alignment.

You will coordinate with clients, consultants, engineers and subcontractors, manage budgets and resources, and ensure works are completed on time, within budget and to the required

Our client is an established building services specialist delivering mechanical solutions across a range of projects. They are looking to recruit an experienced Mechanical Project Manager to oversee the mechanical packages across three college projects.

THE ROLE

You will take responsibility for managing the mechanical packages across three college projects, overseeing delivery from installation through to commissioning and final handover. Working closely with clients, consultants, engineers, subcontractors and internal teams, you will manage project programmes, budgets, resources and materials to ensure works are delivered safely, on time and to the required standards. You will monitor progress and quality, manage variations, coordinate site activities and ensure compliance with Health & Safety requirements, while overseeing snagging, commissioning and project close-out.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE

You will have proven experience managing mechanical packages within building services, ideally across education, commercial or similar construction projects. You will have a strong understanding of HVAC, heating, plumbing and ventilation systems, alongside experience managing subcontractors, programmes, budgets and site delivery. You will be highly organised, commercially aware and confident coordinating multiple stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently and to a high standard.
