Job summary

JWB Recruitment Ltd recruits for a Mechanical Project & Minor Works Manager to lead a mix of commercial HVAC projects and minor works from enquiry to handover. You’ll coordinate design reviews, site surveys, and subcontractors while protecting project margins and delivering on time.

The role requires strong client communication, a solid grasp of heating, cooling and ventilation systems, and a track record of managing multiple live jobs. Based in Redditch with UK-wide stop-ins.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in commercial HVAC and M&E project delivery.
• Strong understanding of heating, cooling and ventilation systems.
• Ability to interpret engineer reports and develop clear scopes of work.
• Experience managing subcontractors and suppliers.
• Confident managing multiple live jobs simultaneously.
• Excellent client-facing communication and commercial awareness.

Responsibilities

• Manage mechanical and HVAC projects from quotation through to completion.
• Deliver a steady pipeline of minor works from maintenance visits and client requests.
• Develop scopes of work, review engineer reports, and carry out site surveys.
• Coordinate subcontractors (AC, ventilation, controls, electrical, ductwork).
• Plan labour, materials, access and programme requirements.
• Maintain strong communication with clients throughout delivery.
• Manage variations, commissioning and full project close-out.
