Accountable for the delivery of the system building services engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Ventilation, and Specialist Systems), liaising with the client, main contractor, and consultants. Capable of package managing multiple Sub-Contractors, Sub-Sub-Contractors, and Suppliers from a system engineering role.

You’ll be responsible for:

• Delivering within the project team, collaborating and coordinating with colleagues.
• Analyzing, rectifying, and managing the completion of the MEP design using engineering acumen and management processes.
• Coordinating and liaising with project Sub-contractors, Sub-Subcontractors, and Suppliers.
• Managing interfaces between packages.
• Developing relationships with key project stakeholders such as the Client, Design, and Construction teams.
• Identifying risks and producing and implementing mitigation plans.
• Incorporating modern methods of construction, digital technologies, and prefabrication.
• Implementing Mace's standards and project strategies.
• Working collaboratively towards net zero carbon transition, managing associated emissions and reductions.

You'll need to have:

• Proficient knowledge of an engineering specialism (e.g., mechanical), including installation techniques, engineering processes, prefabrication, and commissioning requirements.
• Basic knowledge of other specialisms (e.g., electrical) for collaboration.
• Understanding of construction build elements, sequencing, and dependencies.
• Basic knowledge of commercial management, procurement, change control, and project impact.
• Proficient planning and management skills, understanding critical paths and scheduling.
• Knowledge of health, safety, and welfare standards.
• Knowledge of quality assurance and system commissioning processes.
• Basic knowledge of digital engineering technologies or prefabrication.
• Innovative mindset, good communication skills, adaptability, responsibility, resourcefulness, and influencing skills.
• Completed apprenticeship or equivalent, relevant BTECH/HNC, CSCS Card, SMSTS training.

You'll also have:

• Ability to perform basic design calculations.
• Experience in the construction sector.
• Professional registration (CIBSE or IET).
• Experience in coaching and supporting others.
• Relevant Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
