Accountable for the delivery of the system building services engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Ventilation and Specialist Systems), liaising with the client, main contractor, and consultants. Capable of package managing multiple Sub-Contractors, Sub-Sub-Contractors, and Suppliers from a package system engineering role.

You’ll be responsible for:

• Delivering within the project team, collaborating and coordinating with colleagues.
• Analyzing, rectifying, and managing the completion of the MEP design, using engineering expertise and business management processes.
• Coordinating and liaising with project Sub-contractors, Sub-Subcontractors, and Suppliers.
• Managing interfaces between packages.
• Building relationships with key project stakeholders such as the Client, Design, and Construction teams.
• Identifying risks and producing and implementing mitigation plans.
• Incorporating modern construction methods, digital technologies, and prefabrication.
• Implementing Mace's standards & project strategies.
• Working towards net zero carbon transition, proactively managing associated carbon emissions and reductions during project delivery.

You'll need to have:

• Proficient knowledge of an engineering specialty (e.g., mechanical), including installation techniques, engineering processes, prefabrication, and commissioning requirements, to manage design, integration, and commissioning of assigned packages or systems.
• Basic knowledge of other specialisms (e.g., electrical) for collaboration and coordination.
• Basic understanding of construction build elements, sequencing, and dependencies.
• Basic knowledge of commercial management, including procurement, change control, and cost control.
• Proficient planning skills, understanding critical paths, scheduling, and commissioning activities.
• Proficient knowledge of health, safety & welfare standards.
• Proficient understanding of quality assurance and system commissioning processes.
• Basic knowledge of digital engineering technologies or prefabrications (C2P).
• Innovative mindset, effective communication skills, adaptability, leadership, and resource management abilities.
• SMSTS Health & Safety Training certification.

You'll also have:

• Ability to perform basic design calculations.
• Experience in the construction sector.
• Professional registration with CIBSE or IET.
• Coaching and support skills.
• Relevant Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent).
