Job summary

SES Engineering Services are seeking a Mechanical Project Engineer to join our Central region, focusing on high-profile, technically complex mechanical and electrical projects at HMP Erlestoke in Devizes, Wiltshire.

The role centers on managing technical progression, supervising information flow, and ensuring safe, efficient installation. You will collaborate with the BIM team and planners to deliver quality work while safeguarding profitability and client satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Experience with mechanical services installation on projects from design through to site.
• Ability to coordinate with BIM to produce fully coordinated installation drawings.

Responsibilities

• Be responsible for the mechanical services installation on projects from design through to Smart Landings.
• Work with the BIM department to assist and produce fully coordinated installation drawings to a standard which allows clear direction for site installation or production of offsite manufacturing.
• Deliver a quality installation, in line with client expectations, maximising profitability by smart design and early selection, driving cost while maintaining standards.
• Work with the planner to have a clear sequence of works with defined durations and resources agreed with the client.
• Develop and maintain professional relationships with customers, design team, supply chain and stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and presenting issues clearly.
• Work as part of a team to work safely and economically by coordinating activities with others.
