Job summary

JAM Recruitment Ltd in Cornwall is seeking a Mechanical Project Engineer to support the delivery of a major mechanical package on a permanent basis. The role focuses on delivering from pre-construction through to commissioning and handover with a salary between £50,000 and £65,000 plus a full benefits package.

You will coordinate mechanical activities across the project lifecycle, manage procurement and subcontractors, and ensure safe, on-time and budget-conscious delivery while working closely

Qualifications

• Experience delivering mechanical projects from design through to installation and commissioning.
• Experience coordinating suppliers, subcontractors and project teams.
• Familiarity with mechanical building services and infrastructure projects.
• Health and safety qualifications such as SMSTS, SSSTS and CSCS are desirable.

Responsibilities

• Support and manage mechanical engineering activities across the project lifecycle.
• Coordinate mechanical activities across multiple projects.
• Review designs and documentation for compliance with standards.
• Procure mechanical equipment, materials and subcontract packages.
• Liaise with suppliers, subcontractors and stakeholders for successful delivery.
• Monitor installation, quality, and programme performance.
• Support commissioning, testing and handover activities.
• Carry out site inspections and quality audits.
• Contribute to planning, cost control and reporting.
