JAM Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Mechanical Contracts Manager to deliver major MandE projects from award to handover across Exeter and Plymouth in Devon. The role covers work on Defence, Education and Healthcare schemes, typically around £2m+ in value, with a salary of £65,000–£75,000 plus a comprehensive package.

You will lead site teams, coordinate subcontractors and suppliers, manage procurement and programme delivery, and ensure safety, quality and client satisfaction throughout the project

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical engineering background with proven project delivery.
• Experience delivering MandE or mechanical projects valued at £2m+.
• Experience in Defence, Education or Healthcare sectors.
• Excellent client-facing and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong programme management, procurement and coordination.
• Knowledge of JCT and Design & Build contracts.
• SMSTS, First Aid and CSCS cards valid.
• Ability to lead teams to successful completion.

A well-established and growing MandE contractor is looking to appoint an experienced Mechanical Contracts Manager to join its South West team. This is an excellent opportunity to join a forward-thinking business with a strong pipeline of work across the Defence, Education and Healthcare sectors. Projects typically range from £2m+ in value, and you will be responsible for either leading a major project or overseeing a number of smaller schemes concurrently.

The Role

You will take full responsibility for the successful delivery of mechanical projects from contract award through to completion and handover, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on programme, within budget and to the highest quality standards.

• Experience delivering MandE or mechanical projects valued at £2m+.
• Previous experience within Defence, Education, Healthcare or similar commercial sectors.
• Excellent client-facing and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong programme management, procurement and coordination experience.
• Good understanding of JCT and Design and Build contracts.
• Strong IT skills and a proactive, forward-thinking approach.
• SMSTS, First Aid and CSCS cards in date.
• The ability to lead teams and drive projects through to successful completion.
