Who We’re Looking For

  • Practical understanding of services disciplines related to mechanical roles
  • HNC/HND qualifications in Mechanical engineering (preferred)
  • Experience managing construction operations, including planning and testing
  • Strong numeracy, commercial awareness, and technical knowledge
  • Leadership and management skills with a collaborative approach
  • Decisiveness and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication skills and technical support capabilities

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Monitoring project delivery, identifying risks, and collaborating with stakeholders
  • Assessing design constructability and ensuring practical solutions
  • Leading construction delivery in compliance with safety and process standards
  • Reviewing and approving contractor documentation
  • Supporting and developing teams, contributing to project groups
  • Conducting site surveys and liaising with designers
  • Proofreading technical drawings and ensuring quality
  • Maintaining focus on safety and Zero Harm
  • Managing handover documentation
  • Driving operational programs and sharing best practices
  • Managing subcontractors and advising on risks and commercial aspects
  • Preparing RAMS and Quality Plans
  • Undertaking EDF-specific training for various supervisor roles
