Job summary

Bennett and Game Recruitment LTD is seeking a Mechanical Project Engineer to lead projects in Somerset. You will manage client needs from initiation through completion, coordinating trades and resource allocation while ensuring safety and quality standards.

The ideal candidate has strong mechanical/industry experience, knowledge of pipework systems and is based in Somerset with a valid UK driving license. Salary aligns with market, with DOE expectations.

Qualifications

• Process pipework experience.
• IOSH or NEBOSH qualification.

Responsibilities

• Attend to clients' needs on and off site and manage projects from start to finish.
• Quote client requirements and seek approval via Regional Director.
• Develop client relationships to ensure project continuity.
• On-site management including coordination and supervision of tradesmen.
• Manage resources to align with project budget and quality expectations.
• Ensure all Health & Safety requirements are met.
• Work on client sites across Somerset / the South West.

Position: Mechanical Project Engineer

Location: Somerset

Salary: £60,000 - £70,000 DOE

My client is a leading provider of Design, Fabrication and Installation / Relocation services, predominantly focused on Pharmaceutical and FMCG environments with long standing relationships in both sectors. The ideal candidate will come from a Fabrication / Pipework background with demonstrable Site Management and Project management experience and previous tenure in FMCG / Pharmaceutical / Hygienic environments. You will need to be based local to Somerset for this role.

Mechanical Project Engineer Salary & Benefits

• Salary £60,000 - £70,000 dependent upon experience
• Working hours, Monday to Friday 8am - 5pm (40 hour working week)
• 31 days holiday including bank holiday
