Job summary

Zenovo in Stockport, UK, is seeking a Mechanical Product Development Director to lead the product development and engineering function from concept to manufacture and launch. You will provide technical direction and work closely with engineering, manufacturing, suppliers, customers and senior leadership.

You will own the full lifecycle, drive DFMA, guide NPD programmes, and mentor the engineering team while managing resources, budgets and schedules to deliver reliable, cost‑effective engineered

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• Significant experience in mechanical product development and design engineering.
• Proven leadership of engineering/product development teams and delivering products from concept to manufacture.
• Knowledge of CE/UKCA and product compliance requirements.
• Experience with design for manufacture, reliability, cost and performance.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the mechanical product development function with technical direction.
• Own the full product lifecycle from concept through to prototyping, testing, manufacture and launch.
• Lead multidisciplinary engineering projects ensuring quality, cost and schedule targets.
• Drive design for manufacture and component reliability across products.
• Develop processes, standards and strategies aligned with business objectives.
