Job summary

Elite Hire Solutions is assisting a successful M&E contractor in Warwickshire to appoint a Mechanical Operations Manager in Nuneaton. The role focuses on delivering mechanical projects safely, efficiently and to high standards.

You will lead project teams, manage subcontractors, monitor programme and commercial performance, and work with senior management to grow the mechanical division. Hybrid working after probation with up to £70,000 salary plus package.

Qualifications

• Experience in mechanical contracting and delivery of projects (≤140 chars).
• Proven leadership and management skills (≤140 chars).
• Strong commercial awareness and client/stakeholder management (≤140 chars).
• Ability to oversee multiple projects and teams (≤140 chars).

Responsibilities

We are working with a successful and well-established M&E contractor based in Warwickshire who are looking to appoint a Mechanical Operations Manager to strengthen their senior management team.

THE ROLE

As Mechanical Operations Manager, you will play a key role in overseeing the successful delivery of mechanical projects and supporting the wider operational performance of the business.

You will work closely with senior management, project teams, clients and subcontractors to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, commercially and to a high standard.

• Oversee the operational delivery of mechanical projects


• Provide leadership and support to Project Managers, Site Managers and wider project teams


• Monitor project performance, programme and commercial delivery


• Support resource planning and allocation


• Manage subcontractor relationships and performance


• Ensure projects are delivered in line with programme and client expectations


• Maintain strong relationships with clients and key stakeholders


• Support health & safety and quality standards across projects


• Identify operational improvements and implement best practice


• Assist with forecasting, planning and business development


• Work closely with senior management on the continued growth of the mechanical division


• Provide technical and operational guidance to project teams

ABOUT YOU

We are looking for an experienced mechanical professional with a strong background within M&E contracting who is ready to take their career to the next level.

• Strong experience within mechanical contracting


• Previous experience at Project Manager, Contracts Manager, Operations Manager or similar level


• Experience delivering commercial, industrial and/or healthcare projects


• Strong understanding of mechanical installations and project delivery


• Excellent leadership and people-management skills


• Strong commercial awareness


• Good understanding of project programmes and delivery


• Excellent client and stakeholder management skills


• A proactive approach with the ability to identify and solve problems


• Ambition to progress and take on increased responsibility
