Job summary

Hunter Selection is seeking a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer in Winsford to join a leading global manufacturer. You will perform electrical and mechanical maintenance on high-volume production lines, focusing on proactive and reactive tasks to maximise uptime.

The role involves working within a skilled team, carrying out PPMs, supporting CI projects, and assisting with installations while adhering to safe working practices. The package includes overtime, pension, life assurance, and holidays.

Qualifications

• Time-served apprenticeship (electrical or mechanical).
• Strong background in FMCG, packaging, plastics, or food manufacturing.
• Confident fault-finding across electrical and mechanical systems.
• Knowledge of PLCs, hydraulics, pneumatics, and CI tools (Kaizen, Six Sigma, 5S).
• Motivated team player with experience in fast-paced environments.

Responsibilities

• Electrical & mechanical PPM, reactive and breakdown maintenance
• Working as part of a skilled, supportive engineering team
• Reporting into an experienced Maintenance Manager
• Maintaining fast-moving, high-volume production lines
• Involvement in CI/Kaizen projects and cross-functional improvements
• Supporting machine installations and upgrades
• Access to extensive internal and external training
• Ensuring safe working practices at all times
