Job summary

NG Bailey Facilities Services is seeking a Mechanical Maintenance Technician to service multiple Manchester sites. You will perform PPM and reactive maintenance on mechanical plant and HVAC equipment, ensuring compliance with SFG20 and contractual SLAs while keeping plant rooms clean and safe.

The role requires Level 3 Mechanical discipline, BMS experience, and the ability to manage small projects and subcontractors. Overtime rates apply, with a strong focus on safety and documentation.

Qualifications

• Level 3 Mechanical discipline or equivalent.
• Experience servicing heating/cooling and water systems.
• Knowledge of PPMs for pumps, AHUs, FCUs.
• Familiarity with SFG20 standards.
• Legionella qualification/experience.
• RAMS, risk assessments and permits.
• Experience managing subcontractors.
• IPAF certification desirable.
• Unvented hot water qualification desirable.

Responsibilities

• Perform PPM and reactive maintenance on mechanical plant, HVAC equipment and building services.
• Ensure maintenance aligns with SFG20 standards and SLAs/KPIs.
• Maintain plant rooms and service areas to a high standard.
• Follow method statements, risk assessments, and safety legislation.
• Deliver service by completing PPM tasks and reactive works within SLAs.
• Work independently and manage reactive works and small projects.
• Accurately complete documentation, logbooks and compliance records.
• Identify defects, recommend remedial actions and support improvements.
