Job summary

Morson Edge is seeking a Mechanical Bias Maintenance Technician to join our Thirsk site in North Yorkshire. The role concentrates on a strong mechanical maintenance focus with some electrical tasks within a multi-skilled environment.

Key duties include planned and reactive maintenance, fault finding, wiring and several diagnostic tasks. A permanent, full-time role with daytime hours and overtime opportunities is on offer, with a pension and parking on site.

Qualifications

• Experience in maintenance or engineering roles.
• Strong mechanical maintenance background.
• Ability to read engineering schematics.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned and preventative maintenance across plant and machinery.
• Respond to breakdowns and perform reactive maintenance.
• Diagnose mechanical faults and carry out repairs.
• Repair and replace defective components.
• Maintain equipment including motors, valves and associated machinery.
• Install new machinery and equipment when required.
• Monitor machinery to ensure optimal operation.
• Perform welding and fabrication where required.
• Read schematics to aid fault finding.
• Support basic electrical maintenance and troubleshooting.
