Job summary

NT Engineering & Manufacturing in Ayrshire is seeking a hands-on Maintenance Technician (Mechanical) to maintain and improve the reliability of production assets. This role covers planned, preventative, predictive and reactive maintenance across a range of mechanical plant on site.

You will diagnose faults, support continuous improvement initiatives and maintain accurate records using the CMMS system, contributing to increased uptime and performance.

Qualifications

• Time served engineer with experience in industrial maintenance.
• Experience on industrial plant and equipment maintenance.
• Strong mechanical fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
• Proactive maintenance mindset focused on reliability and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned, preventive, predictive and reactive maintenance across mechanical plant and equipment.
• Diagnose faults, troubleshoot breakdowns and implement long-term solutions to minimise downtime.
• Provide technical support across production and engineering assets, ensuring equipment operates safely and efficiently.
• Undertake maintenance activities across fixed and mobile plant.
• Support RCA, FMEA/FMECA and continuous improvement initiatives to boost asset reliability.
