Job summary

Syngenta Crop Protection in Huddersfield is seeking a Mechanical Engineering Technician to maintain and optimise our plant's mechanical systems within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You will follow Safe Systems of Work, deliver first-line maintenance, and complete planned routines while using CMMS to document materials, time bookings, and improvements.

Qualifications

• Requires apprenticeship with hands-on mechanical experience and safety training.
• Understanding of HSEQ standards and Safe Systems of Work.

Responsibilities

• Follow and implement Safe Systems of Work and maintain high HSEQ standards.
• Deliver first-line maintenance across site mechanical systems.
• Complete planned and preventive maintenance routines.
• Diagnose faults using problem-solving tools and techniques.
• Collaborate with manufacturing teams to minimise downtime and improve reliability.
