Job summary

LondonEnergy Ltd in London is seeking a Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor to lead and develop the mechanical maintenance team and contractors at EcoPark, Edmonton North London.

You will oversee safe, efficient operations, drive planned maintenance, and deliver repairs and commissioning of equipment across power generation and process plant sites. Internal candidates only.

Qualifications

Experience in problem solving techniques in technical applications related to power generation or process plant operations.
Direct experience in repair of water-tube boilers and steam turbines, pumps, cranes, hydraulic and conveyor systems, compressors, fans, abatement and FGT/ETP plants, and fire protection systems.

Responsibilities

Develop and review Safe Systems of Work.
Identify faults and arrange/perform repairs on mechanical plant.
Ensure planned maintenance is carried out per job specifications.
Carry out project work to required standards.
Complete relevant documentation and reports.
Lead designated area maintenance objectives and support other supervisors.
Supervise and support day-to-day work of the mechanical maintenance team.
Monitor and correct attendance entries for department staff.

About the Role

We are looking for someone to manage and support safety, productivity, and quality. You will be responsible for leading and supervising the Mechanical Maintenance Team and Mechanical and Civil Contractors. This will cover the repair, maintenance, installation and commissioning of equipment and plant associated with LondonEnergy.

Responsibilities:

To develop and review Safe Systems of Work
To identify faults and arrange / carryout repairs on all mechanical plant.
Ensure the Planned maintenance of equipment is carried out in accordance with the specifications of the job.
Carry out project work as required to the correct standards.
Ensure the completion of all relevant documentation and reports.
To take particular responsibility for a designated area of the plant and lead in it’s maintenance objectives but at the same time keep abreast of the needs of other supervisors’ areas in order to support and cover them.
To supervise and support the day-to-day work of the mechanical maintenance team
To monitor, check and correct all time and attendance entries for the department’s staff.

You must be able to demonstrate considerable experience in problem solving techniques / approaches in technical applications related to power generation or process plant operations. Direct experience in the repair of the following areas of plant would be beneficial:

Water Tube Boilers and Steam Turbines
Pumps
Cranes (including overhead grabbing cranes)
Hydraulic systems and Conveyor systems
Compressors
Fans
Abatement Plant (e..g. precipitators, Flue Gas Treatment (FGT) plant, Effluent Treatment Plant (ETP) etc.
Fire protection systems
