Job description

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Maintenance Mechanic to join our team at Heathrow Airport. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge and be adept at maintaining and repairing various equipment and machinery. This role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.

Role Responsibilities

1. Conduct regular inspections of machinery and equipment to ensure optimal performance.
2. Perform preventative maintenance tasks to minimise downtime and extend equipment lifespan.
3. Maintain the condition of installations such as conveyors and baggage handling systems.
4. Perform malfunction repairs and collaborate with colleagues on maintenance tasks.
5. Resolve mechanical faults efficiently.

Candidate Requirements

• City & Guilds / NVQ Level 3 or above in maintenance or mechanical discipline.
• Willing to work days, nights, and weekends.
• Experience with maintenance on conveyors and baggage handling systems.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in FMCG, manufacturing, industrial, or automated environments.
• Five-year checkable work history for airside pass eligibility.
