Job Description:

We are currently seeking a mechanical maintenance fitter to join our production team across Staffordshire and the West Midlands.

The ideal candidate would be located within these regions and willing to commute between sites as required.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and carry out preventative maintenance to ensure safe and reliable operation of concrete plants.
• Participate in planning and implementing plant improvements.
• Quickly fault find and respond to unplanned plant shutdowns.
• Communicate effectively with production colleagues to understand issues and provide advice.
• This is a mobile role; a van will be provided for travel between sites.
• Contribute to the company's health, safety, and environmental standards and culture.

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise:

• Facilitate repair and maintenance of heavy earth-moving equipment.
• Work autonomously and as part of a team.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent planning and organizational skills.
• Effective problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Motivated, dynamic self-starter.
• Supervise others and third-party contractors.
• Assist in scheduling maintenance and managing site defect logs.

• Liaise with management and operations teams to prioritize repairs.
• Provide flexibility for emergency repairs.
• Hold a UK Full Driving Licence.
