Job summary

Calibre Search is seeking a hands-on Mechanical Engineer to join our established team at a technically advanced site in Cramlington. You will own maintenance activities, delivering both planned and reactive work to keep critical plant running safely and efficiently.

You'll work across steam, chilled water, pumps, AHUs and BMS-linked equipment; participate in on-call rota and engage with site stakeholders. The role offers training, overtime opportunities, and clear progression within a large

Qualifications

• Experience in mechanical maintenance or engineering on live sites.
• Experience delivering PPM and reactive maintenance.
• Ability to supervise contractors and coordinate with stakeholders.
• Familiar with permit-to-work procedures and CMMS documentation.
• Willing to participate in a 1-in-4 on-call rota.

Responsibilities

• Deliver PPM and reactive maintenance across site assets.
• Diagnose faults and perform effective repairs.
• Update maintenance records within the CMMS.
• Support permit-to-work procedures.
• Supervise specialist subcontractors.
• Maintain compliance and asset documentation.
• Assist safety inspections and risk assessments.
• Ensure documentation aligns with GxP standards where required.
