Job summary

Pioneer Selection Ltd is seeking a mechanically oriented Maintenance Engineer in Letchworth Garden City. The role focuses on maintaining production machinery, preventing breakdowns, and improving reliability in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.

You will work a rotating early/late pattern, with no nights or weekend work, offering a balanced work-life arrangement and opportunities for technical training and career progression.

Qualifications

• Minimum mechanical maintenance experience in manufacturing/industrial environments.
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic abilities on production equipment.
• Experience with planned, preventative and reactive maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance across production machinery and site equipment.
• Respond to machinery breakdowns and diagnose mechanical faults.
• Carry out mechanical repairs and component replacements.
• Conduct fault finding on a range of production equipment.
• Work on motors, gearboxes, bearings, belts, pumps and pneumatics.
