Mechanical Maintenance Engineer / Maintenance Plumber – Reading, Berkshire - Up to £40,000 Per annum

An exciting opportunity to work for an established FM service provider in Reading, Berkshire. The client seeks a mechanically qualified/biased (C&G or NVQ) Maintenance Engineer / Plumber with a good understanding of building services.

The ideal candidate will be recently qualified and eager to expand their knowledge and practical skills. The role offers a competitive salary, overtime, and the chance to work at a unique site.

Responsibilities include:

• Building Management Systems & Electrical Monitoring
• HVAC Systems, including Humidifiers
• Air Handling, Air Conditioning & Chillers
• VAV & FCU Systems
• Domestic Water Services & Plumbing
• Pumps, Motors & Variable Speed Drives
• Gas Boilers
• Hot Water Calorifiers
• Water Treatment
• General plumbing tasks (e.g., unblocking toilets, replacing taps)
• Monitoring BMS systems
• General building fabric maintenance

Hours of Work & Salary

• Up to £40,000 per annum
• Monday to Friday, 40 hours/week
• Day shifts: 07:00 – 16:00 / 08:00 - 17:00 / 09:00 - 18:00
• 23 Days Annual Leave
• Overtime available
• Call out 1 in 4 - £105 per week

Requirements

• Mechanical / plumbing qualifications - NVQ or City & Guilds Level 2
• Ability to provide trade certificates
• Proven experience in commercial building maintenance
• Pressure Systems Certification of Competencies
• Legionella Awareness – L8 ACOP
• Multi-skilled
• Good communication skills
• Additional qualifications (e.g., Electrical, Air Conditioning) are a plus
