Job summary

Hunter Selection is seeking a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer for a busy manufacturing client. You will maintain, repair and fault-find on plant and machinery, contributing to efficiency improvements and CI programmes on site.

The successful candidate will have a minimum of 5 years' experience, completed a recognised apprenticeship (ideally with an HNC), and will bring hydraulic/pneumatic fault-finding, gearboxes, welding and fabrication skills to the team.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years as maintenance technician in a busy manufacturing environment.
• Completed recognised apprenticeship; ideally educated to HNC level.
• Mechanical bias with electrical experience; fault finding in hydraulics and pneumatics.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, repair and fault-find on plant and machinery using multiple maintenance disciplines.
• Contribute toward machine efficiency using CI methods including 5 why analysis.
• Complete preventative maintenance inspections and implement actions to stop recurring faults.
• Carry out risk assessments and equipment isolation procedures.
• Fault find and repair on a range of mechanical equipment.
