Mechanical Maintenance Engineer - Derry/Londonderry - Days - Salary £31000+ DoE

Our client forms part of a larger group and operates sites across the entirety of Ireland. Manufacturers of specialist products, they pride themselves on offering quality products and service backed up by their sales and marketing teams.

Your New Role

Our client is currently recruiting for a maintenance engineer to join an established maintenance team.

Whilst on shift your core duties will largely be centred around maintaining fast-paced packaging lines, dealing with day-to-day production requirements and dealing with any issues that may arise.

You will also be required to: Maintain high output production lines •plete the day-to-day production requirements • Dealing with any issues that may arise • Fault diagnosis in electrical systems and equipment • Interpreting electrical drawings • Maintaining an organised work environment • Work to quality standards • Will perform other duties as directed • Ability to work overtime including weekends/bank holidays if required • Ensure all Health & Safety procedures are adhered.

What You'll Need To Succeed

In order to be considered for this role you will need to have relevant industrial maintenance experience, a recognised qualification and most importantly, the right attitude!

Hands-on experience in a maintenance engineering capacity • Achieved a recognised mechanical qualification • Working knowledge of the following: Hydraulics / PLC / Pneumatics / SCADA systems • Ability to work as part of a team • Excellentmunication skills • Strong interpersonal and organisational skills • Ability to make decisions, plan and prioritise work • Ability to use own initiative • Flexibility in working hours during the high season.

Candidates ideally have forklift experience, however this is not essential as Forklift Licence Training will be provided • Experience of working in a busy environment.

What You'll Get In Return

Working a standard hour week across Monday - Friday 07:00 - 15:00 will earn a salary of £31000+ DoE. During peak production season additional hours will be required to be worked in order to satisfy additional production requirements. Subject to demand, the hours could alter to longer day shifts or an early/late rotation. OT is paid at and on Sundays.

The benefits package also includes 25 + 8 holidays, matched pension scheme and a highly achievable production-dependent bonus.
