Job summary

Hunter Selection Limited is seeking an Electrical Inspector to join and lead the maintenance team across multiple sites. The role focuses on preventive and predictive maintenance, with strong training and progression opportunities within a global, stable manufacturing group.

Ideal candidates hold NVQ Level 3 or HNC in Mechanical Engineering, and have knowledge of preventive maintenance programs, SAP systems, and ability to handle pressure while delivering quality work.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 or HNC in Mechanical Engineering preferred.
• Knowledge of preventive and predictive maintenance programs and tools.
• Ability to develop and manage good working relationships across teams.
• Ability to work under pressure and find solutions quickly.

Responsibilities

• Foresee that all maintenance activities are executed with high quality.
• Detect deviations in plant asset performance and address promptly.
• Ensure safe, efficient routine maintenance through detailed job prep with area engineers.
• Establish standard work plans for repetitive tasks and drive standardization.
• Inspect equipment during random or scheduled tours to identify anomalies.
• Support maintenance teams with diagnosis and problem solving.
• Oversee external repair services, spare parts, and supplier inspections.
• Coordinate contractors and monitor task quality.
• Use predictive maintenance techniques for asset management as appropriate.
• Review plant information (SAP, shift reports, alarms) and produce detailed work orders.
• Keep asset documents and drawings updated and organized in accessible locations.

Role & Responsibilities: Foresee that all the activities needed to maintain equipment are being executed and with a high quality, focus on preventive and predictive maintenance.

Detect deviations in the performance of the plant's asset function in time Ensure the safe, efficient and quality execution of routine maintenance work on a daily basis, through detailed job preparation with the Engineer of the area Establish standard work plans for repetitive maintenance tasks and encourage standardization Inspect equipment and facilities on random or scheduled daily tours in order to detect anomalies Provide support to Maintenance teams in the diagnosis and problem solving Guarantee the quality of external repair services, spare parts or equipment, inspecting the equipment at the supplier or upon arrival at the warehouse Coordinate contractors scheduled jobs and monitor the quality of tasks being carried out Use predictive maintenance techniques, when appropriate, for the management of equipment and components Review and analyse plant information (SAP + Shift Reports + Alarms Systems) Provide detailed work orders that ensure the safe and efficient execution of all maintenance work Keep the asset documents and drawings updated and in order, in the locations where their use is required.

In the same way, update and keep organized the information that is on-line.

Provide support to Engineering and Production team with the preparation of the work plans to achieve the highest efficiency and quality of the maintenance groups Knowledge, Skills & Experience: Qualified to NVQ Level 3 or a HNC in Mechanical Engineering is desired.

Knowledge of preventive maintenance programs and tools associated with troubleshooting In depth knowledge and experience in current plant equipment Knowledge of tools and techniques related to predictive and preventive maintenance Ability to develop and manage good working relationships with internal and external departments Ability to work under pressure and find solutions in a short period of time
