Job summary

Aliaxis UK is seeking a Maintenance Engineer (Mechanical) to join our Huntingdon site. You will perform planned and reactive maintenance on manufacturing plant, diagnose faults, and drive reliability improvements.

The role operates on a 12-hour Panama shift with a salary of £51,275.08 plus £9,400 shift allowance. Candidates should hold NVQ Level 3 Mechanical Engineering or equivalent and have experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, gearboxes, conveyors and CMMS.

Qualifications

Maintenance experience in manufacturing environment.
Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills in mechanical and electrical equipment.
Ability to read technical drawings and electrical schematics.
NVQ Level 3 Mechanical Engineering Apprenticeship or equivalent.
Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, gearboxes, conveyors, pumps, bearings, rotating equipment.

Responsibilities

Perform planned and reactive maintenance on manufacturing plant and equipment.
Diagnose faults, carry out repairs, and implement preventative maintenance to maximise reliability.
Ensure maintenance work complies with health, safety, environmental, and company standards including LOTOTO.
Support continuous improvement and root cause analysis initiatives to enhance performance and asset reliability.
Contribute to major maintenance shutdowns, equipment installations, and engineering projects with the wider team.
