Person Requirements for the Mechanical Maintenance Engineer:

• Time-served mechanical engineer, preferably from the Food/FMCG industry
• Recognised engineering qualification (e.g., HNC/HND/ONC/OND)
• Experience in fast-paced and challenging working environments
• Mechanically biased engineer with hands-on competency

Job Responsibilities for the Mechanical Maintenance Engineer:

• Work within a large team as the mechanical maintenance engineer, with experience in fast-paced manufacturing environments and a mechanical focus, including automation and PLC tasks
• Collaborate with the Site Engineering Manager, production staff, and technicians to repair process equipment and plant machinery
• Perform mechanical work and be capable of working within controls and automation systems
• Engage in 'dirty' tasks and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical machinery faults
• Conduct planned inspections and proactive maintenance on process plant
• Follow site H&S procedures and report risks via internal reporting processes
