Job summary

MarchesBiogas seeks a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to support day-to-day maintenance of anaerobic digestion plants across the UK. You will perform mechanical maintenance, troubleshoot equipment, and ensure reliable operation of feeding, heating and pumping systems.

Based at Ludlow, this permanent role requires hands-on experience with mechanical, electrical or hydraulic systems, a full UK driving license, and a commitment to safe working practices on site.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as maintenance technician.
• Basic understanding of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic systems.
• Knowledge of general maintenance processes and methods.
• Working knowledge of tools, common appliances and devices.
• Manual dexterity and problem solving skills.
• Hold a full license.

Responsibilities

• Carry out mechanical maintenance on AD plants across the United Kingdom.
• Monitor and diagnose problems using the plant operation system.
• Assist in setup of systems and perform repairs/adjustments.
• Maintain feeding, heating and pumping systems to ensure correct operation.
• Inspect and test alarms and functionality systems.
• Follow safety procedures.
• Keep client sites clean and tidy.
• Complete paperwork for Maintenance Manager.
• Take samples as advised by Biological Support Team.

Main Purpose of the job:

Toassistwith the day-to-day Mechanical planned preventative maintenance andfunctionalityrequirements of operating anaerobic digesters.

Specific roles to include:

• Carry out Mechanical maintenance on anaerobic digestion plantsthroughoutthe United Kingdon
• Monitoring and diagnosing problems with the use of the plant operation system
• Assistin theset upof the associated systems and conduct repairs / adjustments when necessary
• Maintain feeding,heatingand pumping systems to ensure correct and efficient operation
• Inspect and test alarm and functionality systems
• Follow safe systems of work and procedures
• Keepclientssites clean and tidy
• Complete paperwork as required by the Maintenance Manager
• Take samples asrequiredand advised by the Biological Support Team
