Job summary

First Achieve's Engineering Division are recruiting for an experienced Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join a global manufacturing leader. This is a permanent role with excellent earning potential, long-term job security and genuine career progression.

After a three-month training period on a rotating days/backs/nights shift, you'll move to a 4 on, 4 off continental pattern, with salary rising to circa £46,000-£48,000 per annum.

Qualifications

• Time-served Mechanical Engineer or completed apprenticeship.
• Experience within a manufacturing or industrial maintenance environment.
• Strong mechanical fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with planned preventative maintenance (PPM).
• Flexible approach to shift working.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned, preventative and reactive mechanical maintenance.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical faults across production equipment.
• Support machinery installations and continuous improvement projects.
• Help maximise plant reliability while minimising downtime.
• Maintain high standards of health, safety and housekeeping.

Salary: Circa 40,000 - 41,000, rising to 46,000 - 48,000 after 3 months.

Working Hours: 3 Shift Pattern (Days/Backs/Nights), moving to a 4 on, 4 off Continental Shift Pattern after training.

Commutable from: Edinburgh, Livingston, Dunfermline and surrounding areas.
