Mechanical Maintenance Engineer
Location: Birmingham
Shift Pattern: Continental Shifts (4 days, 4 off, 4 nights, 4 off)
Salary £54,000 + overtime available

Elevation Recruitment Group is working in partnership with a well-established manufacturing business in Birmingham to recruit a Junior Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join their maintenance team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled engineer to play a key role in maintaining production equipment, minimising downtime, and supporting continuous improvement activities within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities of the junior Mechanical Maintenance Engineer role

• Being proactive within the job focussing on reactive and preventative maintenance on a daily basis
• Perform routine maintenance and repair of mechanical systems and equipment
• Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical issues to determine the best course of action
• Conduct regular inspections to identify potential problems and implement preventive measures.
• Collaborate with other maintenance team members

About You

To be successful in this Junior Mechanical Maintenance role, you will ideally have:

• A recognised mechanical apprenticeship and relevant qualifications.
• Previous experience carrying out preventative maintenance activities.
• Previous experience within a medium to heavy engineering or manufacturing environment.
• Experienced in hydraulic/pneumatic systems.
