Job summary

Advanced Engineering is seeking a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer for a heavy manufacturing site in Kirton. You will join a small team responsible for keeping machinery running and aligned with maintenance plans.

NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) plus experience in manufacturing is expected, with a strong emphasis on safety and proactive problem solving.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent required.
• Experience working in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong focus on health & safety and safe working practices.

Responsibilities

• Ensure machines run to the planned maintenance schedule.
• Carry out repairs to production breakdowns quickly and safely.
• Comply with health & safety regulations at all times.
• Support planned preventive maintenance to keep production running efficiently.
• Ensure risk assessments, safe systems of work, and permits to work are followed.

Role: Mechanical Maintenance Engineer

Salary: £55,400

Shifts: 4 on 4 off days & nights (4 days / 4 nights)

Location: Kirton

Pension: Employer doubles employee's contribution up to 10%

Are you an experienced Mechanical Maintenance Engineer looking to join a heavy manufacturing company based in Kirton. You will be part of small team, assisting with all activities that help the site run as efficiently as possible. Engineers will be qualified to NVQ Level 3 (apprentice trained or equivalent) and will have experience working within a manufacturing environment.

Role:

• Ensuring machines are kept running smoothly and on track with the planned maintenance schedule
• Carry out repairs to production breakdowns in an efficient and safe manner
• Compliance with all health & safety regulations
• Support planned preventative maintenance (PPM) to keep production running efficiently
• Ensure all risk assessment / safe system of work / permit to work are adhered to

The candidate:

• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent - ideally apprentice trained
• Experienced working within a manufacturing environment
• Able to work independently and take initiative when needed
• Strong focus on Health & Safety
• Works well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
