Job summary

Appleby Magna is seeking a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer for a 3 month rolling contract, commuting from Swadlincote. The role operates on 4 On 4 Off (12hr) days and nights outside IR35 at £33ph.

You will maintain heavy mechanical machinery and perform fault finding, with planned tasks logged in CMMS, and assist with installations as required. The ideal candidate has strong experience in heavy industrial manufacturing, with NVQ LVL 3 or apprenticeship in mechanical engineering being

Qualifications

• Heavy-duty industrial manufacturing experience is required.
• Maintenance and fitting experience within an industrial engineering environment is essential.
• NVQ LVL 3 or an Apprenticeship in Mechanical Engineering is highly advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Upkeep and maintenance of heavy mechanical machinery.
• Fault finding and component replacement on conveyors, cranes, cookers, slicers, Kiln cars, bearings and chains.
• Preventative maintenance via planned tasks using CMMS system.
• Installation and fitting of mechanical components.

Mechanical Maintenance Engineer - Manufacturing Commutable from Swadlincote - 3 month rolling contract 4 On 4 Off (12hr) - Day and Nights Outside IR35 £33ph

The day-to-day responsibilities of the Mechanical Maintenance Engineer will involve the following.

• You will be responsible for the upkeep of and maintenance of heavy mechanical machinery.
• Reactive maintenance is a priority and will include fault finding and replacing components on a variety of machines such as, conveyors, cranes, cookers, slicers, Kiln cars, bearings and chains.
• Preventative maintenance will involve project work and working of a CMMS system to complete planned maintenance.
• Installation and fitting of mechanical components.

The Mechanical Maintenance Engineer must possess the following skills and experience.

• Previous mechanical experience within a heavy-duty industrial manufacturing environment is a must.
• Mechanical maintenance and fitting experience are a must within an industrial engineering background.
• NVQ LVL 3 or Apprenticeship in Mechanical Engineering will be very advantageous.
